The story behind the print
10 years, 10 unique posters.
Romo Motor Festival celebrated the 10th anniversary a few weeks back. To mark it, we went back to the archive and reprinted every official poster we have made since the first race in 2016 - all 10 of them, gathered as a single set for the first time.
Each poster was a unique annual poster. Every one of them ties back to the start of Beach Racing in Denmark more than a hundred years ago.
Art not advertisement
Each year's design was created by an artist who is part of this pre-war racing community - someone who understand how to combine the most important elements of RMF into one single design.
The brief, every year, is the same one we run the festival on: honour the Danish Beach Racing history, racers who is no longer with us an celebrating the global community of enthusiasts that keep our beloved hobby a live.
Look closer ...
The longer you look, the more you find. Each year there is design elements worked into the artwork that reflects what RMF is all about:
- The people who built RMF - the volunteers who quietly keep the whole thing running.
- The nationalities who race here
- Quiet tributes to those we remember at the Memorial Parade.
None of it is labelled. You either know what you are looking at, or you get to find out.
Printed to last
Reprinted on thick, high-quality paper - heavy enough to hang flat and to still look right in ten years' time.
Every poster is A3, so all ten fit the same frames. 10 of them will fill a hallway. Three or four look right above a workbench. One belongs wherever you keep the rest of your unique memorabilia.
