Help us keep Danish beach racing alive
Rømø Motor Festival is a "forening" — a Danish non-profit association, CVR 38876570. Nobody owns it and nobody earns anything from it. It is put together by volunteers, in their own spare time, because they love old cars and motorcycles.
Coming to watch is free, and we want to keep it that way. There is no entry fee for the racers either — they pay only for their own race licence and insurance. That leaves the festival itself to pay for, and that is what your donation is for.
What your donation pays for
- Safety — fire equipment, barriers, gear for the marshals and the medical cover we have to have on the beach while the cars are running.
- Timing equipment — so every racer gets a real, measured time for their run instead of a guess.
- The beach — permission to use it, preparing the track, and clearing up afterwards so Lakolk is left the way we found it.
- Keeping it free to watch — anyone who turns up can stand and watch the racing. No ticket, no charge.

Donations start at 5 EUR and are handled by Stripe. A donation is a gift, not a purchase: it does not buy a place in the race or anything to take home, and it cannot be refunded. Thinking of something bigger, or want to sponsor the festival? Get in touch and we will find the right way to do it.
